With over 25 years of experience as a gospel preacher, pastor, and teacher, Dr. Carlos D. Ross Sr. is a seasoned leader in navigating the complexities of religious organizations and their networks. His extensive background includes significant contributions to disaster relief and recovery efforts, having served in advisory and consulting roles since the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Dr. Ross is a licensed professional temperament therapist, specializing in the integration of temperament with marriage counseling, grief management, and the intricacies of death and dying. His work includes administrative and supportive care within hospice settings, where he collaborates with agencies and their staff to provide compassionate care.
In addition to his faith-based contributions, Dr. Ross has made a mark in corporate environments, focusing on communication, personal resilience, and asset recovery. His expertise has been recognized through various accolades, including being inducted into the Emma 2023 Black Belt Hall of Fame, where he has pioneered methods to translate skills into actionable strategies for achieving goals and visionary outcomes.
Dr. Ross holds a Ph.D. from Cornerstone University and a Doctorate of Ministry from Lake Charles Bible College, focusing on community mobilization. He also earned a Master’s degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University, a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Calvary University, and an Associate degree in Theology from American Baptist College.
In his leadership roles, Dr. Ross has served as the First Vice President of the Baptist Minister Union of Lake Charles and its vicinity, and as Special Assistant to President Samuel Tolbert, the State President of the National Baptist Convention of America.
